Our Story
People and Animals Go Hand in Hand
PVAS has been part of the Rio Grande Valley since 1974. In 2018, our board made a defining decision: rebuild everything around one goal — a live outcome for every animal in our care. New name. New programs. New leadership that believed the numbers could change.
They did. Today, PVAS sustains an over 80% save rate across 8,000 to 10,000 animals a year.
